Countdown to the Half Marathon

To counter my recent lack of motivation I have entered a half marathon in October. Feeling ambitious I asked a friend for a training schedule and they came up with a 6 day a week plan. Only one rest day???? Never done that before. Not sure how I will manage.

Starting in the middle of a week, but keen to get going, I tried a speed session on the treadmill yesterday. 15min warmup followed by 10 x 30secs fast, 1min jog and a 15 min cooldown. About 8km total. Quite hard but felt good afterwards.

Track session tonight – and the rains have come. Oh well…
